My approach to assessment, diagnosis, and treatment is holistic, client-centered, and collaborative—rooted in personal introspection, relational mindfulness, and active engagement, with a strong foundation in social justice. This means that therapy is a shared process; we will actively work together to define your goals and shape our work in a way that is meaningful to you.
I have extensive training in evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns. I frequently use Motivational Interviewing (MI) to support behavioral change by helping clients resolve ambivalence, and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to address trauma, PTSD, and complicated grief. I also draw from psychodynamic psychotherapy, which explores the psychological roots of emotional distress, using self-reflection, relationship patterns, and deeper awareness to foster healing.
I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness practices, and narrative therapy to promote engagement, insight, and meaningful change. By exploring how temperament, attachment, family relationships, and life experiences shape emotions and behaviors, we can unlock greater self-awareness and self-empowerment.
The goal is not just to reduce symptoms but to help you understand yourself more deeply, break unhelpful patterns, and build a healthier, more fulfilling life.
